The Methow's Deputy Don
Radio can play an important role in a community and listeners do rely on it for entertainment, but when the Methow Valley was caught up in Washington States Historic Fire season in 2014, KTRT the Root stepped it up and became a go to source for information.  Meet Deputy Don Ashford, KTRT General Manager and find out how his personal story of spearheading the creation of the station with his son in 2006, and how he helped local community radio step up to the challenge to keep his community informed during the fire.

When special effects designer Chris Russell moved from Mississippi to the northwest, he brought his magic world with him. He is Silverwood Theme Park’s one-man special effects department. Chris also creates masks, props, body parts and illusions for international customers.
