Confluence of Cultures - Fort Calgary, at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow Rivers, marks the location where the city of Calgary, Alberta was founded. The Fort also provides a confluence of cultures; celebrating the establishment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in the area, and also presenting the centuries-old First Nation legacy of the region.

MuCuddin - Mel McCuddin, one of Spokane’s premier expressionist painters has a lot to say, and fortunately he says it mostly in his paintings. From humor to seriousness, Mel creates images that have meanings that both evolve and enlighten his subjects.
